Through the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network (BES-Net) project and its catalytic seed fund, the BES Solution Fund, Trinidad and Tobago advanced pollinator conservation. Focusing on science, policy, and practice, the project led to new research on bees, bats, and seagrasses, the first national stingless bee management guidelines, and vibrant community outreach, including pollinator gardens and educational tools. With broad stakeholder engagement, it strengthened local knowledge systems, policy dialogue, and biodiversity awareness, laying the groundwork for long-term pollinator protection and sustainable ecosystem management.
