El Salvador is making decisive progress in its climate action by strengthening capacities in climate finance and advancing validation of the National Strategy that will guide resource mobilization to address climate change.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (MARN, from its acronym in Spanish), with support from UNDP’s NDC Agenda Project and funding from the Climate Promise initiative, carried out a series of technical workshops aimed at strengthening institutional capacities to effectively manage climate finance challenges and opportunities. These sessions also included the dissemination and validation of the National Climate Finance Strategy (ENFC, from its acronym in Spanish) together with the stakeholders that make up the country’s Climate Finance Roundtable.
