Operation COP trained a group of young people interested in climate change, who developed skills to seek climate solutions from their trenches in Costa Rica. Three young women were selected to apply their skills at the COP28 to be held in December of this year.
As an accomplice in this process, GIZ provided trainings within the framework of its ACCIÓN Clima project: technical advisor, Rosa Vasquez Rodriguez, and project co-coordinator, Pablo Rojas Wang, had an active participation during the three enlightening months.
The Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Costa Rica, Mr. Ben Lyster-Binns, received us at his home to announce the three lucky young women. Alejandra Fernández Álvarez is the winner of the first place and, as such, earned her ticket to Dubai. The Climate Reality is working to establish partnerships that will allow the attendance of Paula Rueda Mora and Ariana Vargas Salas.
