Out now: Advent Calendar for IKI in Central America and the Caribbean

Following the annual tradition for the Christmas season, the IKI interface project for Central America and the Caribbean publishes its 2023 edition advent calendar to share tangible results of the IKI portfolio in the region, with the novelty that this year the calendar is an interactive online space on the regional website www.iki-cac.org

The website was developed during 2023 with the aim of sharing information regarding the current portfolio – and for December, the advent calendar has arrived!

Behind each door, you will find a little surprise that each participating project has worked on. Also, you can enjoy Christmas versions of typical characters from Central American and Caribbean countries... including a sloth with a Christmas hat!

German tradition

In case you didn’t know, an advent calendar is a tradition originating in Germany that has been replicated and popularized in different countries, including those in Central America and the Caribbean.

It consists of an interactive countdown of the days until Christmas, starting on December 1st and ending on Christmas Eve.

Surely you have also eaten a chocolate every day for 24 days, right?

For this edition, we follow the traditional dynamic of opening a door every day until the 24th. But don’t worry! If you couldn't open a door one day, you can open two the next day, and so on on a case-by-case basis.

How can I participate?

Simply access www.iki-cac.org/en/advent every day and open the available door of the corresponding day.

Feel free to share this initiative with your colleagues, friends and family!
