IKI projects in Central America and the Caribbean connect via new web platform
With a symbolic green frog with red eyes as the main character, the IKI Central America and Caribbean (IKI CAC) website was launched last June 2023 to continue generating synergies for sustainable development.

The platform showcases the impacts of the IKI portfolio in the region through a universal bilingual channel in English and Spanish, with the aim of establishing partnerships and connections between these projects.
The website is interactive and provides access to resources and management tools, and best practices, as well as news related to IKI projects in Central American and Caribbean. A digital map and database allows to learn about the portfolio’s main impacts.
The website also has an exclusive section on the Regional Climate Innovation Hub, which implements mechanisms and tools to promote innovation processes in the climate agenda, strengthening institutional capacities and accompanying the development of innovative approaches in Latin America and the Caribbean.
It also represents an effort to address the climate challenges of a region that includes several of the most megadiverse and vulnerable countries to climate change in the world.
The platform is managed by the IKI interface project for the region, called ACCION Clima, which is implemented by the German Development Cooperation GIZ.
