The Energy Transition project prepared and disseminated a regulatory map of the Dominican Republic's energy sector in order to facilitate the understanding of the regulatory framework of this sector for new investors, through a document that compiles the most relevant laws and regulations in force.

Some of the inclusions contained in this regulatory map are Article 17 of the Constitution of the Dominican Republic on the use of natural resources, the General Electricity Law, the Law on Incentives for the Development of Renewable Energy Sources, the Hydrocarbons Law, among others.

It also includes the international treaties relevant to the energy sector that have been signed by the Dominican Republic and includes relevant documents on energy policy such as the National Pact for the Reform of the Electricity Sector. The online version of the map is scheduled to receive regular updates as new laws and regulations are replaced or added.  > More information
