Calling the building and construction sector!
Open Call for Proposals to increase the use of eco-labels (ISO 14024) and sustainable public procurement (SPP) in the construction and infrastructure sector.

The Consumer Information Programme and the EcoAdvance Project, together with the United Nations Environment Programme's (UNEP) Sustainable Public Procurement Program, are launching this call to support initiatives in developing countries and emerging economies (except EcoAdvance countries: Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Mexico) that are working in the building and construction sector to:
- Apply good practices related to the use of eco-labels on materials
- Apply best practices in sustainable public procurement
- Develop ambitious environmental labeling with climate change, biodiversity, and natural resource criteria.
- Improve the policy and legal framework
- Improve knowledge management and increase stakeholder participation.
Submission deadline is April 12, 2024.
The EcoAdvance Project seeks to trigger a market transformation towards more sustainable production and consumption patterns through the promotion of Type 1 ecolabels and sustainable public procurement in order to contribute to climate change mitigation, biodiversity protection and resource conservation. It is implemented by the German Development Cooperation - GIZ, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the Öko Institute on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) through funding from the International Climate Initiative (IKI).
