IKI-LAC Climate Private Sector Mobilisation Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to support and mobilise private sector investment in climate mitigation projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). By offering concessional financing in blended finance structures, combined with advisory services when needed, the fund facilitates the testing, replication, and scaling of innovative business models and technologies. Its objectives include contributing to the decarbonisation of industries, enhancing climate resilience in infrastructure and production facilities, and diversifying fossil fuel-dependent sectors to ensure a just energy transition. Additionally, the fund seeks to attract local institutional investors and foster the development of local financial markets.
