The International Climate Initiative (IKI) focuses on the conservation, expansion and connection of protected areas, sustainable use and the reduction of degradation and fragmentation of ecosystems, this through investments, advice to governments, technology transfer and awareness. Biodiver_CITY - Establishment of interurban biocorridors
The project supports key actors in integrating ecosystem services and inter-urban biological corridors into sustainable urban planning. The focus is on regulations, ordinances and urban planning instruments, as well as on strengthening implementation and cooperation capacities for the management of interurban biological corridors. The project promotes the dissemination of innovative approaches and the formation of strategic partnerships in urban and biological corridor planning.
