Eight groups of producers and communities from the cantons of Chone, Tosagua, Junín, Portoviejo, Santa Ana and Jipijapa, in Manabí, Ecuador, are participating in a training plan to strengthen the socio-organizational and financial management capacities of community funds of associations and community organizations in rural areas.

The plan includes various topics, including economic autonomy, the gender approach and ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change, savings, credit, minimum records, accountability and the role of the promoter, who is the person who accompanies the process.

With these initiatives, the EbA LAC Program seeks to encourage the participation of the people involved, especially women.
