Second Caribbean Regional Trialogue: Caribbean Voices for Ecosystem Resilience
Trinidad and Tobago | 2–4 December 2025
The Second Caribbean Regional Trialogue, convened by the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network (BES-Net), will bring together stakeholders from seven Caribbean countries to explore responses to biodiversity challenges and their links to climate, food, water and health.

Using BES-Net’s Trialogue methodology, which fosters collaboration between policy, science, and practice communities, participants will engage in facilitated dialogue to identify context-relevant actions. These will reflect Caribbean realities and draw on diverse knowledge systems, including Indigenous and local perspectives.
The upcoming event builds on the First Regional Trialogue held in 2018 and draws on recent global assessments by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES)—specifically the Transformative Change and the Nexus Assessments—while supporting ongoing efforts aligned with the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).
