The Resilient Caribbean Communities project aims to increase resilience in both forest and agroforestry ecosystems and agricultural systems, thereby improving livelihoods in rural communities vulnerable to climate change.

The Dominican Republic, Haiti and Cuba are affected by hydro-meteorological events, which have increased in number and intensity, making it necessary to adopt measures that contribute to the strengthening of adaptive capacities in vulnerable populations in the Caribbean.

These communities are made up of women, youth, and elderly people who depend on ecosystem goods and services for their livelihoods.

The main role of these groups within the project is to implement measures in their production systems to make them resilient to the extreme events brought about by climate change.
