A total of 137 women leaders from 30 Rural Development Learning Centers (CADERES, from its acronym in Spanish) in Guatemala participated in technical field tours to share experiences on climate change adaptation measures.

During these tours, participants expanded their knowledge on key technical topics, including the implementation and diversification of home gardens and agroforestry systems, as well as the revival of ancestral practices via the milpa system, commonly known as kuxur rum. Discussions also delved into the application of sustainable practices, such as producing bio-inputs with vermicompost, creating bio-insecticides and repellents, and using aromatic and medicinal plants for pest and disease control.
