Ecology for All, My Healthy Environment
The "Ecology for All, My Healthy Environment" initiative is transforming mountain communities in Cuba with its eco-social approach to combat environmental pollution from household solid waste. Twice a month, women, men, girls, boys and young people join in a joint effort to clean up their environment, sorting waste according to the circular economy vision.

The initiative "Ecology for All, my Healthy Environment" is being implemented in polygon No. 3. Farallones de Moa. It is an eco-social initiative aimed at fighting and mitigating environmental contamination with domestic solid waste in the mountain communities where the RCC project operates. Twice a month, this initiative convenes villagers with a gender approach where girls, boys, young people, women and men participate.
The purpose is to do environmental cleaning, collect all the solid waste generated, take it to the designated site and classify it with the vision of circular economy. (If something can be used for another purpose, then it is repurposed, if not, then it should be give then proper treatment).
Due to its importance and the impact it has had in the area, it is being expanded and implemented in all the RCC project intervention zones. This idea mitigates or eliminates environmental impacts that diminish the health of the ecosystems and the quality of life of the people, which is one of the biophysical changes that the project has had on the area.
