The 360,000-gallon Water Storage tank at Tufton Hall, St. Mark is an additional storage supply for NAWASA for the parishes. The tanks can withstand a category 5 hurricane, so that even in the event of an emergency NAWASA is able to provide a 3-day supply of water to residents.
Representatives from the Government, Parliamentary representative for the parish, G-CREWS and NAWASA all commended the collective efforts that made the completion of the first tank possible.
Chairman of NAWASA’s Board of Directors Mr. Phillip Alexander said, “this tank reflects our proactive approach to meeting the growing demands of our people and building a more resilient national water system.”
Head of Projects for GIZ G-CREWS Ms. Marion Geiss emphasized the significance of the project as a symbol of collective responsibility. She said, “this tank is not just a piece of infrastructure; it is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together.”
