Adaptation to climate change is aimed at limiting impacts, reducing vulnerabilities and increasing resilience in the face of the climate crisis. Costa Rica has a solid legal framework regarding adaptation measures and has positioned it as one of its priorities, at the same level as adaptation. In addition, the country has placed water as a determining, transversal and priority management axis, in such a way that the actions can be linked to the appropriate management of responsibilities regarding the installation of capacities in the public and private sectors.
