Circular economy
A circular economy is essential to combat climate change, the extraction and use of materials represents a large percentage with respect to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. To drastically reduce emissions, focus must be placed on critical areas of unsustainable consumption and production in high-impact sectors such as manufacturing, buildings and construction, and agriculture. Countries should seek to incorporate circular economy approaches into their climate commitments, accelerating the transition to a low carbon economy and protecting biodiversity.
